Join Matt Piper for an in-depth discussion in this video Editing in the Blocks view, part of Up and Running with Reason 7.
One feature in reason that I would call sort of an…optional creation tool or organizational tool is the feature called Blocks,…so if we look at the bottom of the sequencer here…and sort of the transport section we see this blocks button.…And then up here at the top of the sequencer, lets just drag this up…so it really looks like the top of the sequencer we see blocks Blocks are on.…If I don't use…blocks and I don't want to see that.…And I want to save that half inch or so of real estate, turn it off.…
But if I want to use blocks it can be…a nice way to organize a song, and work quickly.…And also to create.…So I'm going to take you on a little bit of a journey of the…imagination to start with because we don't have time to make a song right now.…But I'm going to go into the blocks view and try to show you what it does.…So I'm going to switch from song to block.…And for purposes of demonstration, is going to create several audio tracts here.…These could also be software instruments. Any noise making source.…
