Delay compensation
- [Narrator] In addition to VST support, delay compensation is an often asked for feature that has been added to Reason in version 9.5. Delay compensation is related to the concept of audio latency. Audio latency is the slight delay between the input and output of an audio signal in a computer audio system, and it's something we'll discuss later in this course when setting up your Reason preferences. In addition to the across the board latency that effects all track simultaneously related to the buffer size that you set for your audio interface, there can also be individual latency on a per track basis caused by various signal processing effects that you may be using. I'll show you what I mean. I'm going to press command T to create an audio track, and I'm gonna do that again to create a second audio track, and I'll scroll up here just a little bit and turn off monitoring and record arm.
