Create synth lines with the RPG-8 Monophonic Arpeggiator: Learning Reason 9

Arpeggiators and arpeggiated musical patterns are important ingredients in electronic music, as well as in classic video game music and sound design. Composer and producer Matt Piper shows how to create a classic video game-style pulse wave sound using Reason's Thor synth, and then demonstrates how to use the RPG-8 Monophonic Arpeggiator to create the patterns and sounds used in classic video games. These sounds and styles are often evoked in current electronic music genres. You will also learn how to change the character of a synth sound using simple pulse width modulation in this online tutorial.
