- So, now that we've got our exciter in modal bank giving us a sound with a nice character, it's time to take it to the next level using effects and modulation. Let's start with the effects. So, down below, we have the effects. They're all generally "on" most of the time, except we just need to turn up the mix in order to hear them. Usually you'll get a little bit of reverb by default. Let's turn that down for now, though. Now, much like frequency modulation, physical modeling can sound a little bit sterile, because of the fact that we're working with all of these very precise harmonics, and these, sort of, pseudo-natural metallic tones. So using effects that can give the sound a little bit of depth, and even just a little bit of dirt, can really go a long way. So, we've got the cabinet here. This is a cabinet emulation effect, much like what you'd find in Guitar Rig. Also, it pops up in other Native Instruments products. So, as we turn the mix up, we're just going to here that the…
