- Hello, I'm Garrick Chow and welcome to Up and Running with Acrobat Reader DC. In this short course, I'll show you everything you need to get started with this free application for viewing and working with PDF documents. I'll start by explaining the differences between Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Standard or Professional and what you can and cannot do with your PDFs in Reader. Then we'll take a look at the Reader interface and layout and learn how to navigate around PDFs to view them easily and efficiently. Next, we'll examine the commenting and markup tools and see how to use Acrobat Reader to leave notes and suggestions for edits when you're collaborating on a document with others.
You'll see the new mobile link feature in action which lets you keep your PDF documents in sync between your computer and mobile devices like your smartphone or tablet. And lastly, I'll show you how to use Reader's form tools to fill out PDF forms and sign them.
