Learn how to make API calls from your React applications using two techniques: built-in fetch methods and the axios library.
- [Emmanuel] Have you recently looked into how the call APIs or what are the differences in between fetch methods and actuals? Do you seek knowledge on how to properly call APIs with React applications? If so you've come to the right course. We're going to explore the major differences in between how to call APIs with fetch, or actuals, and how does it work in a React application? Hi, I'm Manny Henri and I've been working with React since its release and regularly work with APIs in my applications.
First we'll set up our base project using a few tools and then take a look at rest API and ASIC concepts. Then we'll create all the components we'll need and introduce and use the fetch methods. Next we'll leave you at a quick challenge on how to build reusable components in React. Finally we'll connect to our APIs leveraging actuals and its methods. So if you're ready to learn all about calling APIs with React fire up your favorite editor and let's get started.
