Join Alex Banks for an in-depth discussion in this video How to use the exercise files, part of Learning Redux.
- This course has a set of exercise files that you can download and follow along with, which will give you everything that you need to work alongside of me on the exact same files that I'll be working with. In the exercise file folder you'll notice folders for each chapter. And under each chapter's folder there's a corresponding folder for each video. In each video's folder you'll notice a start folder and a finished folder. When the video begins I'll be working with the files in the start folder. The finished solution for each lesson can be found in the finished folder. Every start and finished folder has dependencies that need to be installed.
Before each lesson you must install these dependencies using npm. You can do so by opening your terminal or command prompt, and navigating to the appropriate start or finished folder and typing npm install. Installing dependencies requires an internet connection, and it may take a few moments each time. If you don't have access to the exercise files you can still follow along by just watching. Throughout I'll be using Sublime Text, which is available from SublimeText.com. However you can follow along with me using your favorite text editor or IDE.
Well, that's all we should need for set up. Lets go ahead and begin learning Redux the basics.
