3D printing your scan with a Makerbot

- [Instructor] In this video, we'll prepare our file for printing with MakerBot Desktop. Our model has already been transferred from Meshmixer. It looks pretty good. Just be aware that if you are using multiple 3-D printers in one location, you might have to change the device type. Up here on the tool bar under Devices, select Type of Device. Just make sure that the correct one is checked. Meshmixer doesn't always transfer that setting. Now, under settings here, I'm going to choose the standard print settings. I think that that's a really good balance. You can see that mass over text says Sweet spot between speed and surface quality and I would generally agree. I'm going to turn off the Raft from my replicator to I print all the time directly under the plate and had a lot of success with that. And because we auto-generated supports, we definitely don't need the MakerBot generated supports. I'll choose Save Settings. Now, we're all ready to go. I will choose Export Print File and wait…
