- Thank you so much for joining me on this incredible adventure on the Punakaiki coast of the South Island of New Zealand. I mean, what a beautiful place, had such a great time, and I just want to remind you of a couple of the key things to take away. And the biggest thing was planning, preparation, and really understanding what beach worked with different tides. You know, hitting that secret beach at low tide where it was safe. And really timing it at high tide for the Pancake Rocks and the blowhole to get that beautiful spray with the sunset. So it's so important to do as much research as you can through talking to friends, going online, studying, you know, studying the tide table, and really trying to repeat visits to the same coast and learning what tides work and what, you know, what tides don't. Also really pushing out and trying to find different locations, stuff off the beaten path. You know, the weather forecast was pretty awful, but we got a couple breaks. Sometimes it was…
