What you should know

- In this course, we'll play with electronics and the Raspberry Pi. But I don't expect you to know a lot about either. If at some point you're confused about the basics of Raspberry Pi, I'd encourage you to review the companion course in this library titled "Raspberry Pi Essential Training." That will give you an understanding of how the Raspberry Pi works, how to install an operating system, and additional hardware you'll need to start it up. It will be helpful if you understand basic computer concepts such as input and output and memory and power. It will also be helpful if you have a knowledge of a programming language. I've kept programming simple and taken steps to make the intent obvious, rather than optimizing code in ways that will make it more difficult to understand. If you understand concepts like variables and if else statements, you should have no problem with the programs I'm writing in this course. As always, if you have any questions I'd encourage you to post them in the Q&A section in the course. I'm notified when you post questions and will try to answer them for you. In summary, you don't need advanced knowledge to gain benefit from this course. And I'm confident you'll find yourself surprised at what you've learned about electronics and the Raspberry Pi GPIO.
