- There are a few other types of media that OSMC supports.…If you own a device running iOS6, 7 or 8,…you can stream to OSMC using AirPlay with some limitations.…Note that OSMC currently does not support AirPlay…on iOS 9 or Mac OS on any platform.…Also, while OSMC supports the streaming of certain types…of AirPlay content, such as YouTube…through the Safari browser or local video content,…it does not support screen mirroring…or the playing of DRMed content such as Netflix or HBO.…
These features might appear to be supported,…but they will fail if you attempt to cast them.…To enable AirPlay in OSMC, start in the home screen…and go to Settings, then Services,…then scroll down to AirPlay.…You can choose to Enable AirPlay support…and leave all other settings at default…unless you wish to set a password.…OSMC will now appear as a client when you attempt to cast…on a compatible iOS device.…OSMC also supports playing live TV…through the use of a TV tuner device…and the Tvheadend program.…
Setting up live TV is a complex process…
Note: These instructions work with the Raspberry Pi 1, 2, and 3 models. OSMC does not support Netflix, Hulu, or HBO Go.
