Connect the 1-Wire

- [Narrator] First things first, we get to build a circuit. And before building any circuit, be sure to turn off the power to the Raspberry Pi. In the next two videos, I'll show you how to build the 1-Wire and pulse with modulation project and I've included a shopping list as part of the exercise files. This is a fairly easy circuit to connect. In this video, I'll focus on the 1-Wire connection to the DS18B20. To start, connect pin one of the Raspberry Pi to the red or positive voltage of the breadboard. This supplies 3.3 volts to the power rail. Now, connect pin 39 of the Raspberry Pi to the ground rail. Take a look at the DS18B20. There are three wires. In some 1-Wire devices, you'll only have two wires, signal and ground. You'll find the implementation of the 1-Wire specification varies from device to device, so you'll want to do a bit of research and prototyping before you commit to manufacturing. To start, I'm…
