Backing up your settings

- [Narrator] Now that you have a basic RetroPie system set up the way you like it, I highly recommend that you backup your settings. Aside from being good general practice to help prevent data loss in the event of a catastrophic failure, it's also nice to have a gold version of your RetroPie settings. That way, you can tweak can fiddle with options and configuration files to your heart's content, knowing that if you ever really truly break something, you can revert back to your gold version and try again with the benefit of experience. There are two ways to backup your RetroPie settings. The first way is to create a complete system image of your Raspberry Pi's SD card. This method means that every single file and folder gets frozen in time, and when you restore the image, everything will be exactly where it was at that moment.
