- Previously, we took two recordings, one recorded on location and one in a studio, and used the EQ match module to try to make the studio recording sound a little closer to the location recording, in terms of the quality and characteristics of the sound of the actor's voice. I'll play them both again here, so we can remember what they currently sound like. [White Noise] - Hey Dad. [White Noise] - Hey kiddo. [white noise] So... [White Noise] you got a design for me? - And then here's the studio dialogue. - You know I'm taking a big risk putting you on this Columbia project. Firm could be on the line here. - So, while I think we got pretty close to matching the overall sound of the actor's voice in both recordings, the studio recording is missing all the ambient noises from the location recording. Now if you have just a plain recording of the ambient locations sounds, you could just lay that in under the studio dialogue and throw in some other elements to design the sounds to match the…
