Make selections
- [Voiceover] Now let's look at the selection tools in RX 6. Anytime you want to edit, modify or fix just a section of your recording rather than the entire thing you'll need to select the portion you want to work with. This could be a time selection or a frequency selection, and we have tools for both. These are the selection tools down here, and if I roll my mouse over them you can see their names as well as their keyboard shortcuts. So if you find yourself using any of these frequently you might want to remember the shortcuts so you can quickly select them when you need them. So the time selection tool is chosen by default in RX 6. This is what allows you to drag a selection around a portion of your recording based on time. So for example for the portion I just selected I can see it starts at right about 16 seconds and ends a little after 18 seconds. And any edits I make at this point will affect only the selected portion of the file. I can click anywhere else to deselect that…
