- [Instructor] You might have noticed that when you have more than one file open in RX, in addition to the tabs that let you switch between the open files, we also have this button here that looks like three back slashes. This allows us to combine the open files into a composite view. Now why would you want to do this? Well for example I have two files open right now and they're both recordings of the same drum track but recorded through two different mics. At the beginning of both files I can slightly hear the sound of a click track or metronome that the drummer played along with which you can hear here. Very faintly. But that's present on both tracks. And I want to remove it from both of those tracks. Now this is just an example with two separate recordings, but imagine you have a typical microphone arrangement on a drum kit with maybe a dozen or more mics set up.
