Writing PDF reports in R Markdown

- [Narrator] R Markdown provides us the ability to create PDF document that contain both R code and R output. But why should we be interested in PDF as a format? Well the primary advantage of PDF is that it is the single most portable file format for documents. PDF files can easily be viewed on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and even BlackBerry. Whereas most documents, for instance, Microsoft Word reports, look different on different systems, PDF remain the same across all systems. So choosing to export your R Markdown documents as PDF makes sense if the visual fidelity of your documents is important. PDF files are also extremely easy to print. The printed document will look almost exactly like the screen version of the file, and PDF files are universally supported by printers, even including using AirPrint in iOS.
