Writing HTML presentations in R Markdown

- [Martin] R Markdown allows R users to create rich, interactive slide decks, that can easily be hosted online. So what exactly is a HTML Presentation? A HTML presentation is viewed through a web browser, rather than a desktop application like PowerPoint or Keynote. Each slide in a presentation is a unique HTML document and presenters navigate through their presentations with their keyboard, typically through the arrow keys. Just like in a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. So why would we want to create a HTML presentation instead of using PowerPoint or Keynote? Well, unlike with traditional presentation tools, by using HTML presentations, you can incorporate interactive data visualizations like charts, maps, and more, using htmlwidget packages. This is really powerful for times where you have rich data sets that you want to explore during your talks.
