Where can you deploy Shiny apps?
- [Instructor] Shiny apps are most usually designed and developed directly on your local machine, and many apps never leave the machine they're built on. However, the value in many Shiny apps only comes from making it available to others, whether that's your colleagues and fellow team members or publishing your app to clients and customers. As ever when deploying web apps, there are two very different options available to you, self-host apps on your own server infrastructure or use a cloud-hosted solution. Today, self-hosting is a bit of a misnomer, as usually you'll be running your server applications on VPS services like AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, et cetera. The Shiny Server application can be installed on any Linux server or anywhere that you can run a Linux virtual machine, including Azure.
