What are data apps?

- [Instructor] So what are data apps? Well, any web application that focuses on displaying, analyzing, or collecting data from users should be considered a data app. The most common data app that we see is a dashboard. Dashboards typically provide a glanceable understanding of a data set or metric. They may be comprised of many data visualizations or a single gauge telling you how good or bad a metric is doing on a particular day. The second type of data app that we see is a form or a survey. Forms and surveys are both data apps because your users type data in which is then analyzed and potentially stored later for future analysis. Some web apps also require users to upload files into the application for further analysis.
