PDF presentations with Beamer

- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the features of the Beamer presentation, R Markdown format. To do that, we'll go to the exercise files, navigate to folder zero five underscore four, and we'll open our R Studio project. Now that's open let's open up our RMD file itself, and we'll knit it together. This generates us a PDF and I'll just make that full screen. So the first slide of our Beamer slide deck is the title slide. It's got the title from the YAML header of our dot RMD file. We can navigate through our presentation by moving through the pages of the PDF document. So where does Beamer come from? It's based on the extremely popular LaTeX class Beamer, which is widely used in academia. It's worthwhile knowing that Beamer is an actively developed format and there are many different styles for Beamer slides available to you, that you can find online.
