- [Voiceover] So now we're going to show how to add slides to the built in R Markdown templates inside of RStudio. The R Markdown templates are available from the menu bar. The preamble of an R Markdown document is where the document type and options are set. And content outside of code chunks is interpreted as R Mardown or HTML. So as we're doing something new inside of RStudio we're going to create a new project so we're going to projects in the top right-hand corner select new project. We're going to make a new directory I'll make an empty project I'll save it on to the desktop and I'll call it 02_02 add slides. And I'll create my project. So, now that the project is created I'm going to add an R Markdown file to this. So I'll go to file, new file, and R Markdown. Now the very first time you do this on your machine, you'll be asked to install the necessary libraries in order for RStudio to interpret R Markdown files and to generate you, your presentations.
