- [Instructor] Welcome to chapter four, section four, where you finally learn what Table 1 is. First, I'm going to describe to you what Table 1 is. I'm going to also describe univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyses, and how Table 1 and descriptive analysis fits in those definitions. I'm going to show you how I set up a table shell in Excel to show you what a Table 1 is, and how it's going to look when we are done. We'll go over how I made the table shell in the next chapter. So, I'm just giving you a sneak peek now. Okay, I promised I'd explain to you what Table 1 is. I want to be clear that we call it Table 1, but sometimes it's actually Table 2 or 3. If you put a table earlier in the report, then you can't really call it Table 1. But the reason we refer to it in the industry as Table 1 is that this should be the first part of your results.
