- [Narrator] It's good to have friends, and the R community does a great job of welcoming and supporting new programmers. Let's talk about some of the resources that are available to you, as an R programmer. I've provided a list of all the links we're going to look at in the exercise files. First, you should be aware of R-Ladies, and R-Ladies is a community of all women programmers working in R. It's a highly supportive group, very encouraging, and if you're a lady, I would highly recommend that you get involved and look at the website and find out where are the meetings are near you. Likewise, our conferences, located at r-project.org/conferences, is the official list of all of the useR! conferences, and that's "use-R," very clever.
