Installing RStudio
- [Instructor] Usually the easiest and best way to work with R is to use an application called RStudio. Now, it's a separate application, but one that, like R, is free and open source, and it's really the industry standard for working with R. You get it by going to rstudio.com. And then we're going to come right here to Products. And we're going to choose RStudio. It's an IDE, or interactive development environment for R. Now, there are two versions. You want the desktop, not the server version. And you want the open source edition, cause, among other things, it's free and not a thousand bucks a year. So you click Download RStudio. Now, you get to come down and make that choice again, and we still want RStudio desktop, the free one. And then it's going to automatically detect your operating system, and offer a button to download. Simply click on that. It is a quick and easy installation like any other application you put…
