Development environments for Bioconductor R

- [Instructor] Since Bioconductor is a set of packages that run inside of R, it follows that any R IDE will work with Bioconductor. In fact this is true. You can use any development environment with any R. However, the Bioconductor community has unofficially but wholeheartedly embraced RStudio as the IDE of choice. Almost every Bioconductor workshop or demonstration I've ever seen is done with RStudio. So it may not be necessary to use RStudio with Bioconductor but when working with your peers in the field, you may find it easier to use the same tools as everyone else. For this reason, I strongly recommend RStudio when programming with Bioconductor.
