The final chart that we're going to look at…in the section on associations is the scatter plot.…Which is for looking at the relationship between two quantitative variables.…For this example, we're going to be using the dataset that exists in R about cars.…And you may remember that this one has to do with…the speed and stopping distance of cars taken back in the 1920s.…We're going to load that into the work space.…We can just click on that and see what it looks like here…in the spreadsheet.…We've got speed and miles per hour all the way up to…25 miles an hour and stopping distances in feet on the right.…
The first thing we're going to do is use the generic X-Y plotting function,…plot, which as I mentioned before is a very smart and capable function in R.…It can usually tell what kinds of variables it's…looking at and how they should be most appropriately plotted.…In this case, I'm just going to feed it in the entire data frame.…And because it consists of only two quantitative…variables, it knows to draw a scatter plot.…
