- [Instructor] So let's review who we are removing. In our last section we removed everyone who was not in our subpopulation, meaning everyone who was not a veteran, done. But now in this section we need to remove everyone who does not have a valid value for the exposure or the outcomes we selected. So literally, what we are going to do is remove every survey where there is not a valid alcohol drinking variable. That's the exposure. And then, for the two outcomes we are looking at, sleep duration and asthma status we have to remove records without valid values for those too. Each time we remove these rows we need to document them in our data reduction spreadsheet so we don't forget those numbers. So I'll show you that. Finally, I'll review the code we used. Let's start by removing people who do not have a valid value for our exposure, which is drinking alcohol. Let's look in our data dictionary to see who we want to remove from the data set.
