- [Voiceover] From a design perspective, things would be pretty dull if every image you put in your layouts had to appear on a solid rectangular background. Thankfully, you can mask, or hide parts of an image, to mix design elements together and eliminate the parts of an image that you don't want. There are a few ways to do this job and in this movie, we'll look at QuarkXPress's clipping path controls. If you're following along, you'll need to re-import the picture file, since the link will be broken when the exercise files were copied to your computer. To re-import the picture, select it with the picture content tool, press cmd or ctrl + e and then navigate to the links folder inside the exercise files and choose the file called Cheese.psd. So here in our exercise file, we have picture of cheese and behind it is a no content frame filled with the yellow color. The cheese image has a white background that I'd like to get rid of so we can see the cheese directly on the background color…
