In this tutorial Mike demonstrates how to control letter spacing with kerning and tracking. Tracking refers to letter spacing when it’s applied to a range of characters. Kerning is the letter spacing applied between just two characters. Mike also shows how to manually use the controls in the character tab of the measurements palette, and with keyboard shortcuts, and in a by editing a kerning pair in a specific font.
