- [Instructor] Thanks again for your interest in the course. Before we get started, I'd like to give you an overview of what you should know to get the most out of this course on Qlik Sense. First is that you should know that Qlik Sense is primarily an online program. There are three different versions of Qlik Sense. The most commonly used is Qlik Sense Cloud, which is for small businesses and individuals. That's for commercial use. There's also a Qlik Sense Desktop, it's for individual users and it's for non-commercial use only. So it's perfect for self-training or classwork. And finally, there is Qlik Sense Enterprise. These are on-site installations and it allows multiple users to work with Qlik Sense as a dashboard and data visualization engine within a company. One result of this structure is that sharing files is difficult unless you're in the same group. For example, if you have a Qlik Sense Cloud account with five users, they can share files easily within their workspace. Same thing with Enterprise, you can set permissions and groups, and sharing files is easy. For Qlik Sense Desktop, you can't actually share files very well. All you can do is share the source data and allow individuals to create their own visualizations which means that in this course, the exercise files are just the source data in Microsoft Excel. I apologize that I am not able to distribute fully formed exercise files, but you'll get a lot just following along with the video and creating your own resources is also terrific practice for doing your own analysis.
