- [Narrator] Collecting the data you need to make good business decisions is just the first step in your analysis. You also need to arrange your data in a way that communicates your findings. In this movie, I will show you how to sort table data to get your message across. I have created a table based on the state product category and order total fields from the all details workbook. You can find that in the exercise files folder. I've already opened my sheet for editing and clicked the table, and you can see over on the right I have the properties panel open to data. If I want to sort from here I can click the sorting header and there I see my three fields. I have state product category and order total, and the order that they're in represents the sorting order. So I have state as the top level, then product category, and then finally order total isn't actually sorted because it's at the last layer.
