Define a KPI
- [Instructor] Businesses collect data so they can analyze their organization's performance in relation to goals set by management. In this movie, I will show you how to define the key performance indicators, or KPI's, that help guide those analyses. I have created a new app inside of Qlik Sense and in it, I have a blank sheet that I've already opened for editing. The data that I'm using is based on the All Details workbook. You can find that in the Exercise Files folder. To create a KPI, I need to go to the Charts section of the Assets panel, so I'll click Charts and I'll go down to KPI and drag it onto the sheet. And I'll put it here on the left side. A KPI is based on a numerical measurement, so I will click the Add Measure button and I will use Sum of Order Total. So, I will drag down in my field list, click Order Total, and for Aggregation, I will use Sum. So, I'll click there and I see that the sum is 5.43 million. KPI's are generally very small.
