- [Instructor] When the data your business collects let's you divide it into categories such as by product category, or the state where a customer lives, you can use pie charts to show how much each category contributes to the whole. I will demonstrate how to create a pie chart in this movie and the app I've created uses data from the all details Excel workbook that you can find in the exercise files folder. I have my sheet open and available for editing, and then over in the assets panel on the left, I can drag pie chart onto the body of the sheet and I get a container that allows me to define my pie chart. I'll start by adding a dimension, so I'll click add dimension, and this will in my case be product category, so I'll scroll down, and in my data set we have product category so I'll click that.
