Enrich your GIS data and make more effective maps with QGIS, the open-source GIS software.
- Hi, I'm Gordon Luckett, Autocad certified trainer and a GIS consultant. I want to welcome you to Up and Running with QGIS. In this course, we'll explore how to enrich your data using QGIS and make extremely effective data in maps. First, we'll start by installing QGIS. Then we'll create maps by adding standard GIS formats, in both vector and raster formats. Next, we'll stylize the layers and perform analysis such as overlays on standard GIS data. Finally, we'll wrap it all up by publishing your data in maps with a little help from some cool Python plugins.
We'll add in some striking base mapping. We'll be covering all these features plus plenty of other tools and techniques. Now, let's get started with Up and Running with QGIS.
