- [Instructor] Next we're going to use Python to query a subset of the data so that we can report on that smaller area. So first, we're going to bring in the water pipes into our current session. Use the very first coordinate system, the UTM. Click OK. Just to confirm, look down in the bottom right corner. If you see EPSG 26910, we're okay. If not, pick on the EPSG 26910 and change it to that. Let's see here. So here's all our water pipes. I'm going to use the identify tool and have a look at one of these pipes. You can see that we've got all sorts of things like the type and the material, and whether it's potable, and so on. So I'm going to clear the identify results. What I want to do is I want to query a subset of the pipes here. If someone had sent me a polygon, asking how many pipes are in that particular area, it's actually downtown. And how many are there? So how long are they, and how many are there? So…
