- [Instructor] The quickest way to print or plot your map in QGIS is through the Print Layout. Adding maps to the Print Layout is the only requirement prior to printing. You also need to set up the layout to use your desired page. Let's make a quick map. I'm just going to add the Buildings and the Parcels. Okay. Just a simple map with both. Make sure the Buildings are on top. And we're going to use this as a Map. So we're going to go Project, New Print Layout. We're going to call it My First Plot. And here's My First Plot. There's nothing in it right now. It's in Landscape, but we need to add an item. So the first item we need to add is the map itself, so click Add Map and draw a window of where that map will be on the page. And there's the map.
