3D animations
- [Instructor] One of the best ways to tell a story with a 3D map in QGIS is to use animations. Let's put a map together first and then create an animation in our 3D map. So let's add road centerlines, hit okay, parcels and buildings. Let's move the road centerlines up, make them red. There we are, perfect. The parcels we're going to make them transparent or semi-transparent, maybe around 20%, that looks good. And the buildings, what we're going to do is we're going to go to the 3D view and we're going to extrude them using the elevations. So we'll go to height, so it's going to extrude to the height and we'll hit okay and oh, one more thing for the extrusion let's make the ambient color, maybe like a grey color, there we are okay. So we're ready for our 3D map. All we have to do is say view, new 3D map and we'll dock that up here, so there's our 3D map. So let's just go down to the waterfront here and rotate our map a…
