To run a script in PyCharm, you have to create a run configuration. There are many default templates to choose from. You can select the basic Python script runner, supply the path to the script you'd like to run, define any command line variables you'd like to pass in, along with their values, and give the run configuration a unique name. Then you can run the script.
- [Instructor] We've got our very first script entered…in PyCharm, and we've left a few little things in here…that we can correct later.…You can see that on line four we've got this underline…indicating that there's something…that we probably need to fix,…and there's probably a few other nitpicky things…that we need to take care of later.…Generally though the first thing you're going to want to do…is actually run this script…to make sure there aren't any gross problems…with the Python script as we've typed it in so far.…In order to run your code in PyCharm,…you need to create a run configuration.…
To do that, I'll go up to run,…and select edit configurations.…When the run debug configurations window comes up,…you'll see that there are a list…of defaults here on the side.…If you'd like to customize the defaults for your project,…you can by selecting them and editing them.…But I generally don't do that.…I'm going to close this back up again…and I'm going to create a new configuration…based on one of these defaults.…
