Before we get into PyCharm programming, we want to cover some of the more important settings that aren't necessarily part of the post installation setup process. Take a look at customizing the font settings and using font ligatures in our code to more accurately represent code syntax for certain elements like comparison and assignment operators.
- Like all JetBrains' IDEs, and I suppose all IDEs…in general, PyCharm has a large array…of configuration settings,…allowing you to configure the tool to match your preferences…as well as customize it to the type of work you do.…We've seen we can a set of these in post setup.…Naturally you can change all of those settings…anytime you like,…along with a large number of other settings.…Let's take a look at the configuration window.…I'm going to Configure, and then Settings.…As you can see, we have a lot of options in here.…
So many, in fact, that it would be impractical…to go through all of them.…So let's just hit the high points for now.…In the post installation setup, we saw how you can change…the color scheme that you're using, the theme.…And that option is right here.…So if you wanted to change it to one of the other settings…you can do it in this window.…I'm going to stick with the one that I already have.…And usually the first thing I always change…when I come into any of these IDEs is the font size.…I like a nice big font size, and as it happens…
