Skill Level Advanced
- Hi there. I'm Miki Tebeka. A developer, mentor, instructor, and author. I love technology, and write code daily, most of the time in Python. This course is a compilation of optimization tips and tricks I've learned in the last 20 years. In this course we'll cover finding bottlenecks using profilers and system tools, and how to stress test your sites. Using caching services and algorithms, how to cheat effectively. Distributing work, both on a single machine and on multiple machines. Optimizing services by picking the right transport in coding and other methods.
We'll review several server frameworks, both for HTTP and TCP. How to use load balancers and serve static content. And how to integrate performance into a process, and how to collect metrics. Let's roll.
