- [Instructor] The final use case we will review in this chapter is Network Traffic Analysis. This is not essentially a prediction, but a deep analysis on a large data set to discover network traffic patterns. An IT network has multiple elements, like load balancers, web servers, application servers, databases, API gateways, and third-party connectors. A given service request from an end user usually navigate multiple elements before returning the desired result. Element-to-element traffic varies between any given pair of elements. Some have heavy traffic and others have light traffic. If the network bandwidth and inter-element distance are not properly designed, this would lead to congestion points and bottlenecks and would impact overall service performance. Analyzing traffic volumes between elements will help identify congestion points and optimize resources and network layouts.
