The exercise files are organized to make it easy for you to follow along. You may use Komodo Edit or another Python development environment to follow along.
- [Instructor] The exercise files for this course are included with your basic membership. Copy the exercise files to a location where you can find them on your system. I've copied mine to the desktop on this system. Wherever you put them, just make sure that you can find them. The exercise files for this course are laid out by chapter, where each chapter has a folder, and the files for that chapter are contained within the associated folder. Most of the exercise files are simple Python scripts. To use one of these files, first make a working copy.
I'll select the file and I'll copy and paste. On a Mac, that's Command + C and Command + V. On a PC, that would be Control + C and Control + V. And then I'll rename my copy to something that makes sense, and then open my working copy either in my editor or in my development environment. Here, I'm using Komodo Edit and I simply double-click on the file and there, it opens. And I can run it, and there is my result.
When you're done working with the copy, close it in your editor, and you may delete it if you like, or you may keep it for further study and experimentation. The exercise files are here to make your learning experience easier and more powerful. Take your time, experiment a lot, and happy learning.
