Using the Design Checker

Publisher 2010 has a built-in Design Checker to check over your publication before you publish it, depending on the destination. It could be to the web, it could be to a commercial print house, for example. There are options for all of these scenarios. We're going to take a look at it using our NewPostCard5 publication, which has been updated with some addresses, and so on. You can it's a two-pager, really it's a back to back. It's a postcard that we might want to get published using our commercial print house. So we have this professional-looking card. We can send it to our customers.

To access the Design Checker, we go to Backstage view, by clicking File. You'll notice, with Info selected, the Run Design Checker button appears, right in the middle here. We'll use this to find potential problems in our publication before we actually print or send it via e-mail or post it on the web. So I'll click this button.
