Join Bonnie Biafore for an in-depth discussion in this video Using Team Planner to assign resources, part of Microsoft Project 2010 Essential Training.
The team planner view is…available in project professional.…It's an easy way to assign resources for small teams.…Each resource has its own swim lane,…where they tasks they're working on show up.…If you don't have team planner visible in project,…you can go to the view tab, and click the top half…of the team planner button.…You can also go to the resource tab,…and click the team planner button there, as well.…Once team planner is visible, we'll take a look…at the different parts of this view.…
For example, on the left side, there's a table…with the resource name, and also a column…for unscheduled tasks.…Now, first of all, the resource names are all…lined up in their swim lanes, kind of like…swimmers in a swimming pool.…The tasks that are assigned to those resources…appear in the time scale on the right side…of the screen, but the unscheduled tasks column…on the left side, that represents manually scheduled…tasks that are assigned to a resource,…but don't have dates yet, and one of the great…things about team planner view is you can…
