- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. With longer projects, from time to time, you'll need to look at different timeframes in the GANTT chart timescale. It turns out the timeline view offers a quick way to do that. Here I'm looking at a project, and I have the timeline view on the top, and the GANTT chart below. At this point, the timeline is showing the entire project date range from its start date to its finish. Let's go ahead and click within the timeline view. When I go to the timeline view format tab, in order to use this control feature, you want to go to the show/hide section and turn on the checkbox, Pan and Zoom. When you do that, there's a green box that appears in the timeline view. This indicates the date range that's shown in the GANTT chart timescale. You can see that it starts June 21st, so that's where it says June 21st in the timeline, and that's where it starts in the GANTT chart timescale, and it…
