Set up for recording progress
- [Narrator] Before you begin recording progress in Project, you need to set a few options to tell the program how to handle updates. So let's head to the File tab and then click options. In the Project Options dialogue box, we're gonna start in the Schedule category. Scroll down so you can see Scheduling Options for this project. You want to make sure that the checkbox is turned on for split in progress tasks. By turning that on, it means that Project can split the taskbars so that completed work is in one section of the taskbar, and then you have another section for the work that's going to be completed in the future. Then scroll down further to Calculation Options for this project. The first checkbox is Updating task status updates resource status. Now this is great when you're doing task updates because what this will do is it will roll the values that you enter for the task down to the assignments. Next up, we're gonna head over to the Advanced category. Scroll down to the bottom…
