Set task dates to specific dates

- [Instructor] Sometimes tasks need to occur on specific dates, or follow other date restrictions. Date constraints are one way to specify when tasks start or finish with varying degrees of flexibility. Every task comes with some type of date constraint. To see that, I'm going to insert the constraint type field into this table. So I'm going to right-click the Duration heading and choose Insert Column on the shortcut menu. Then I start to type the name of the field and when I see Constraint Type I can click it to add that to the table. I'm going to point at the right side of the heading and when I see the two-headed arrow, I'm going to drag to the right so I can see more of the constraint type. By default when you schedule your project from the start date, the constraint type is As Soon as Possible. That means it's completely flexible. Project will schedule your tasks as soon as possible based on predecessors, duration, and resource assignments. Let's select the task Load Moving…
