Set the fiscal year for a project

- [Bonnie] Hi, Bonnie Biafore here with another Project tip. Out of the box, Project uses the regular calendar year for its dates. If your organization uses a fiscal year, you can tell Project to show that fiscal year instead. So let's take a look. Here we've got a GANTT chart view. Over on the right, we have the timescale, and it's set to show months with the years in the top row, and then the bottom row is showing the weeks within those months. Well, let's say, that your company fiscal year starts on July 1st. Usually, that's so the end of the year isn't during the holidays. The first thing we have to do is specify when the fiscal year starts. To do that, I'm going to go to the file tab and click options. In the project options dialogue box, I'm going to select schedule, and the second field in is fiscal year starts in. It's set to January, so that's the calendar year.
