Scheduling part-time workers

- When people work part time, the easiest way to tell Project about their schedules is with maximum units. You simply set this field to the percentage of a full week that someone works. Suppose the plumber Rafael Osborn works 6 hour days. That's 75% of a full work week. On the view tab I'm going to click resource sheet to go take a look. I'm going to scroll down until I find Rafael on the list. His maximum units are set to 100% right now so that means a full work week and we want to change that to 75%. I click the maximum units cell, type in 75 and press enter and that changes his maximum units to 75%. That means total allocation that's more than 75% during a time period is going to show up as overallocated. Let's head back to the Gantt chart to assign Rafael to tasks. On the view tab, I can clip the top half of the Gantt chart button. I'm going to scroll down until I can see a task that he works on, in this case, rough-in plumbing.
